Frequently Asked Questions.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes! I take on custom work when it aligns with my workload, style, and values as an artist. I find custom work to be super inspiring and usually fun, so feel free to fill out an inquiry for custom work here and I will get back to you as soon as possible. If I feel I am not the right fit for your project, I will usually come back with ideas or recommendations to help you find a new path.

What is your custom order process like?

Generally speaking, most folks come to me with an idea of what they might like, for example: a set of four mugs for their family, a special tea set, a vase for a wedding gift, or a planter for their favorite houseplant. These ideas can be general (I would like a blue mug) or specific (I would like a mug with a painting of my birth flower). I ask that you come to me with ideas that are somewhere in the middle of this spectrum so that we can work together to create the perfect piece for you! After filling out a custom inquiry (found here), I will get in touch with you with ideas, price estimates, and sometimes sketches. Once we have decided on a design, I can begin my making process, and will remain in touch with you throughout to ensure that you are happy with your final piece!

How long do custom/made to order pieces take?

The most valuable resource any potter has is time. Due to the nature of working with clay, made to order work can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks depending on many factors. During my busier season (July-December) this timeline can extend an additional two to three weeks, so I recommend you plan ahead for custom gifting. I appreciate your patience as I work to create balance in my lil biz!

Where can I find your work?

If you are looking to purchase artwork, you can head to my shop to peruse ready to ship artworks. If you are looking for a made to order custom piece, see the custom order questions above. Sometimes I make it into gallery exhibitions and art fairs! You can keep up with those types of things by subscribing to my email newsletter (form located at the bottom of this page. It won’t be annoying - I promise) or by following me on Instagram. If you are a local shop hoping to carry my work, please fill out my contact form here.

Do you offer a free local pick-up option?

Sure do! Feel free to select that option at checkout and I will be in touch via the email used at checkout to organize a pickup time. There are some products that I ONLY offer as local pick ups, so make sure to look for those as well!

Can you teach me to make pottery?

Probably! I am currently teaching workshops at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. Find me in the “family and multigenerational workshops” and “workshops for adults” sections of the class catalogue - all ages and skill levels welcome! we have fun.
